How To Add MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo To N900′s Inbuilt Messaging Client

I observed most of the people who have downloaded aMSN here are reporting some problems on signing in and using it but I and some of the people have no problems, okay anyway we got another application which allow us to configure and use the MSN and other services listed in the post title.
The application is Pidgin Protocols, looks like
and it can be found on the Maemo Extras Level catalogue, if you have no idea about the catalogue then you can found it here at How to add more applications to your Nokia N900.
Just install the Pidgin Protocols and configure it from VOIP and IM accounts in Settings.
If this Pidgin won’t work then just install MSN Protocol Plugin For Conversations And Contacts, looks like

the msn protocol works but i cant use the cam with it can i ??
Still no have used the front camera, i belive that it is going to work with the upcoming firmware update. So just wait for it dude.
why i can’t see my MSN contacts in the IM?
May be we need to add them manually.
when i install the amsn he told me unable to install some application package required for the installation are missing can u help me plz
amsn takes more to install and logon and so i have posted another post on how to install msn client on Nokia N900. You can find the link on this post use it and get it.

how can i make it work?
after adding the client go to messaging, tab on New IM then select your messaging client like MSN, enter your details and chat with your buddies.
hey I’m facing the same prob I cannot add anyone or talk to any one on my N900 I followed the upper steps but the prob is the same, plz help I need my msn on my Mobile as soon as possible !!..
Oh, and one other thing I cannot seem to be able to remove any applications that are already installed so plz I need your help despertly thx
you need to add your MSN friends list manually in contacts then you can talk to them.

i installed both of them (MSN protocol plugin.. and pidgin protocols) but i can’t find either of them in my menu.. where does he place the msn when it’s installed?
go to conversations and then New IM and configure the client.
oh, right, thanks! but after that? he doesn’t open msn or anything.. i installed the new IM, what’s next?

i’ve got the same problem. i configured the client, but after that, i can’t see MSN. it says i’m logged in, but i can’t see my contacts or anything..

we need to add your buddies manually, unfortunately it won’t get the list from your messaging list.
so it’s more like email than MSN? once i’m logged in, my friend on his account can see me, but if he talks to me, i don’t see it on my mobile.. do i have to add him first if i want to see what he’s saying? it sucks that amsn doesn’t work..

Hey,i’ve installed pidgon protocol…but i can’t sing in to any of the account..whenever i click sign in it starts loading for a while and then it shows not logged in..am i having problem with my connection ?
may be, try with a wifi connection.

at signing in
when i want to sin in i put my username and password and i wait so after a 30 secs i have a message not signed in but all my other accounts are signed in ( fcbk, skype and ovi) all these dont have probs
i have also tried but unable to signin. And aMSN is also facing some problems. Try to ask it in maemo official forums.
