Nokia Warns Of Faulty Chargers-Initiates Charger Exchange Program

Nokia discovered faulty chargers in the routine quality test and initiates a charger exchange program to save the customers and the company as well.
If our charger falls into this faulty category then we can exchange it with a new charger for free.
How to check for it?
Here are the guidelines.
The affected chargers are those manufactured by BYD between June 15, 2009 and August 9, 2009 and with the following model types
AC -3U
AC-3E
and those manufactured by BYD between April 13, 2009 and October 25, 2009 and with the following model type
AC-4U



Nokia has launched a website for us to check. The official website is located at http://chargerexchange.nokia.com.
Go there and navigate to bottom of the page and enter the two letters printed on your charger for assistance see the screen shot attached above.
After that you will be navigated to second step, here you need to enter the charger identification number and submit it.
By this step we can be able to know whether it is a faulty or not. I have checked my charger and found it was a safe charger.
