Hack “Certificate Expired” With OPDA And FreeSigner

Generally we may encounter this problem on our Nokia mobile while installing applications. The error is due to the expired certificate. It means that the certificate associated with the application is expired. So we have to ways to over come it. One way is to set the mobile date to back and the other way is to change the certificate associated with it.
Here you may think “is it possible to change the certificate associated with the application?” yes! It is possible.

In order to change the certificate, first we need to remove the expired certificate with the application. It can be done by using FreeSigner. After that we need to resign the application with our OPDA certificate. Then this resigned won’t give any certificate error till it expires. Generally OPDA certificates have 3 years life time. So we no need to bother about the certificate at least for three years.

If you have no OPDA certificate then go here How to get OPDA certificate and key.

If you haven’t downloaded the FreeSigner then go here to get FreeSigner.
