How To Install Windows XP On Dell Studio 15 1535

Someone wrote a comment to explain the step by step procedure to install Windows XP on Dell Studio 15 1535, so here i am providing complete tutorial to install Windows XP on Dell Studio 15 1535. This is not at all a big problem and hence the solution is also simple, anybody can do it after reading this procedure.

Actually Dell ships most of the notebook computers with a pre installed Windows Vista. And when ever we try to install Windows XP on our Dell Studio 15, an error will occur indicating some memory location. So that we can identify that it is the problem with the Memory management.

So we can rectify it by changing something in the memory management. The actual step by step procedure to install Windows XP on our Dell Studio 15 notebook computer is as follows.

Step 1 :- Switch on your Dell Studio 15 Power button.

Step 2 :- Go to BIOS setup by pressing F12 when the DELL LOGO appears while on booting.

Step 3 :- Then go to “Onboard Devices”.

Step 4 :- Then go to “SATA Operation”

Step 5 :- By default it is set to “ACHI”.

Step 6 :- Change it to “ATA”.

Step 7 :- Then simply save it and exit.

Step 8 :- After that follow the noramal procedure to install Windows XP on your DELL STUDIO 15 1535.

    Hey, first of all thanks for this little tutorial.
    But actually i’ve a problem with steps 2 to 6. I think it’s F2 you have to press, and then, there are no Onboard Devices and you can only switch it from achi to IDE and that doesn’t works good for my vista =)
